Thermal Water Heating
3 Year Service
Pressurized glycol systems should have service performed every 3-5 years. During this service, we will test your controller, sensors, pump(s) and expansion tank. We will flush out your solar loop and fill it with new high-temperature propylene glycol. We will inspect your solar collectors, pipe insulation & roof penetrations and replace, repair or reseal as necessary.
5 Year Service
Your drainback style system should have service performed every 5 years. During this service, we will test your controller, sensors, pump(s) and drainback tank. We will flush out your solar loop if necessary and/or refill the system to the proper water level. We will inspect your solar collectors, pipe insulation & roof penetrations and replace, repair or reseal as necessary.
Equipment Failure
Should any part of your solar system fail, we’ll get it replaced and get you back up and running as quickly as possible.
If your system is under 10 years old, we recommend reinstallation. If your system is 10-20 years old, we usually recommend reinstalling, but suggest considering upgrading. (if you have Enphase microinverters, consider their Legacy Upgrade Program) If your system is over 20 years old, you should definitely consider replacing them! (Replacing this equipment would qualify for the 30% Federal Tax Credit!)
